Pig is a simple dice game. It is known as a jeopardy dice game, because the primary decision is whether or not to jeopardise previous gains by rolling for potential greater gains.
Gameplay
Each turn, players may "roll" the dice as many times as they wish. Each roll is added to the currrent score. If a player chooses to "hold", their current score is added to their total score, and it becomes the next player's turn.
When playing in
One-dice mode
:
-
if the player rolls a one, they score nothing and it becomes the next player's turn
-
if the player rolls a six in two consecutive rolls, the player's total score is lost and it becomes the next player's turn.
When playing in
Two-dice mode
:
-
if the player rolls a one on either dice, they score nothing and it becomes the next player's turn
-
if the player rolls two sixes, and on the next roll, if either dice is a six, the player's total score is lost and it becomes the next player's turn.
The first player to reach the winning score (default: 100 points) wins the game.
Settings
The settings menu allows game options to be changed, including the player names, the winning score and the number of dice (default: 1). These options may be changed at any time, except during a player's turn.
